Southeast Michigan.Washtenaw and Livingston Counties since 1946.
We do not serve all of Michigan. We serve the specific counties, townships, and aquifer systems we have been working in since the company was founded. That focus is intentional — local knowledge is not a marketing phrase. It is how we show up knowing what to expect before we see the job.
Two counties.Hundreds of wells on file.
Cribley has drilled wells and serviced water systems in Washtenaw and Livingston Counties continuously since 1946. The well logs from jobs done in the 1950s and 1960s are still in our records. When you call about a property, there is a real chance we have drilled nearby before — or drilled the original well at that address.

Unsure if your address is in our service area? Call or use the contact form — if we can reach you, we will tell you. If we cannot, we will try to point you toward someone who can.
The geology of Hamburg Township is notthe same as Ann Arbor's.
Southeast Michigan is not geologically uniform. The depth to the water table varies significantly across townships. Mineral content — iron, manganese, hardness — changes from one aquifer layer to another. Areas near former industrial sites or military installations carry contamination risks that rural agricultural areas do not.
Knowing this in advance changes how we approach a job. A well driller who only works from a map cannot tell you whether the aquifer at 150 feet in Bridgewater Township runs different from the one at 150 feet in Hamburg. We can, because we have drilled both, repeatedly, for 80 years.
Serving your area for 80 years.
Whether you need a new well, pump service, or a water quality test — call or write. We will confirm coverage and get you scheduled.
